Gears of War 3 to Receive Free ‘Versus Booster Map Pack’ on 24th November
Microsoft and Epic Games have today announced they will be releasing a free map pack for Gears of War 3 on 24th November. The ‘Versus Booster Map Pack’ will be available for free on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and has been released as a thank you to the entire Gears of War 3 fan base.
The pack will feature five maps that will be made available in public matchmaking playlists: two maps from Gears of War 1, Swamp and Clocktower; alongside Azura, Rustlung, and Blood Drive from the ‘Horde Command Pack’, which was released today.
Whilst all players will be able to enjoy the new maps present in the ‘Versus Booster Map Pack’, those who download the ‘Horde Command Pack‘ will have access to the new characters, weapon skins, and Horde fortification upgrades which are present in that particular add-on.
The ‘Horde Command Pack’ is available to download now from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points. If you want to see the new content in action, check out a new trailer for it below.
Seeing as the ‘Horde Command Pack’ has a new playable character called ‘Big Rig Dizzy’ in it, I think the pack is worth downloading simply so you have the opportunity to play as a character with such an awesome name.
The ‘Versus Booster Pack’ will be made available for free download from Xbox LIVE Marketplace on 24th November.
