Were you one of the thousands of people who squealed with glee when it was officially announced that some of our favourite Metal Gear games would be returning to us in glorious high definition? Have you been drooling over the screenshots and packshots that we posted a while ago? If that was the case then I’m sure you’ve been waiting with bated breath for more information, anything that you can grasp onto about whether things are moving forward with the development of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
Well, things are and now we’ve got a ‘Solid’ release date for the hotly anticipated HD remake. February 3rd, 2012.
The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is set to contain five, count them, FIVE Metal Gear Solid games spanning the last 20 years! You’ll be able to play through Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 4: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker along with the games that started it all off back on the MSX over 20 years ago, Metal Gear and Metal Gear: Solid Snake.
Now if that’s not going to be value for money then I don’t know what is.
Are you looking forward to playing through all those classic games again? Will you be getting it when it launches on the 3rd February, 2012? Let us know in the comments below!
By day I play video games, test video games or just simply write about them. By night I fight crime on the streets of London as a masked vigilante known only to a select few ... damn SECRET identity. Could never get the hang of that.
I've been writing about video games for about 10 years now, and playing them for even longer, starting off with a Spectrum ZX passed down to me in about 1988. Yes, I used to play games that came on cassettes. Yes, they were AWESOME!
I've been writing for God is a Geek since October 2010 and loving every minute of it, aside from that I write for my own website and work as a video game tester for Testology. So, yeah, I'm pretty much living the life of a gamer, and I don't intend stopping anytime soon thank you very much.
Unless I run out of money, then we might have a problem.
