Battlefield 3 TV Advert Featuring Jay-Z’s 99 Problems is Live, Takes Potshots at COD
EA has released the full TV advert for Battlefield 3, which features Jay-Z’s Black Album track, 99 Problems and comes in at just over a minute long. The advert was first shown at a developer session by DICE for Battlefield 3 at Eurogamer Expo last week, which was attended by GodisaGeek staff.
The advert shows off plenty of gameplay examples, while also delivering quotes from the media which EA has used to take more potshots at Activision’s Call of Duty franchise. “Battefield 3 is the winner” is one of the choice quotes in the advert, with several others thrown in for good measure.
Regardless of the potshots at Call of Duty, the trailer is, as you would expect having seen the others, pretty awesome. It ends with the tagline “Above and Beyond the Call” which is where Battlefield 3 wants to be in the charts come mid-November. Whether it will be or not is another question entirely, but EA is clearly giving it the best chance it can.
