Assassin’s Creed Revelations Multiplayer Beta Is A PSN Exclusive
In the cut and thrust world of securing high-profile multiplayer beta exclusives, it seems like PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Network just skewered themselves a big one.
Ubisoft has announced that the multiplayer beta for Assassin’s Creed Revelations will be available exclusively for PlayStation gamers, downloadable through the PlayStation Network. Ubi have confirmed that this will be a timed beta, available from September 3rd to September 11th and that PlayStation Plus and and Uplay members will have access to a number of the final game’s features.
Players will have access to nine characters (The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster and The Champion), three maps (Knight’s Hospital, Antioch, Constantinople) and four playable modes. Of these four modes, two are totally new to the series and are called Deathmatch (kind of obvious) and Artifact Assault (kind of intriguing).
Ubisoft claim that is is “only a sample” of the final multiplayer content. Hopefully more details will be revealed soon.
Assassin’s Creed Revelations will be available on November 15, 2011 along with the Collector’s Edition, the Animus Edition and the Special Edition.
