More DLC On The Horizon For Read Dead Redemption
In a surprising move, Rockstar Games have confirmed that there will be more forthcoming DLC for their mega-hit open world Western, Red Dead Redemption. The game is over a year old now, and has already been treated to several multiplayer upgrade packs as well as the large, zombie-themed side-story DLC pack, Undead Nightmare. In a tweet on the Rockstar Games official twitter feed – in response to a question from a fan – as to when more DLC would be arriving, a Rockstar representative stated “Look for release date and details in the coming weeks”.
The first DLC pack, Outlaws to the End, was a free update that included six new cooperative side missions ranging from raiding a mine and stealing the gold to riding down a river to secure a town’s weapon cache, and new achievements/trophies and challenges. This was followed by the Legends and Killers Pack and the Liars and Cheats pack, which added new map locations, new game modes, new characters – including some from the original Read Dead Revolver game, and new weapons. The Hunting and Trading pack released in October, and added a new Jackalope animal and new outfits to wear. And last, but not least, came the Undead Nightmare pack. This included a new single player side story, where the land is infected with a zombie plague. It also brought new weapons, more horses, new animals to hunt, even more multiplayer characters and a new multiplayer mode. So the game has already seen generous DLC support.

Red Dead Redemption is out now on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Undead Nightmare DLC can be purchased on Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network, or as a standalone game, bundled with the other multiplayer map and gameplay updates.
