Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Pre-Order Bonuses And Special Edition Details

In anticipation of the full Uncharted 3 reveal at E3 in a few days, Sony has seen fit to release some details on the pre-order bonuses and special edition content that fans will be able to invest in.

There will be several different pre-order bonuses available from selected retailers throughout Europe, and each pre-order bonus pack will have its own multiplayer weapon modification. Sony also released details of the Special Edition and Explorer Edition for Uncharted 3, which will also be available to order.

There are six different pre-order packs in total, as well as the Special and Explorer Editions. They are as follows:

• ‘Callout Mod for AK-47′ — Equip your AK-47 with a laser sight that enables your entire team to see the location of the opponent you are currently targeting. How cool is that? Great for team building.
• ‘Clip Size Mod for Para-9′ — Increase the size of the bullet clip for your Para-9 pistol and spend more time shooting your opponents before having to reload. Something I will personally enjoy as I spend far too much time reloading and getting shot in the process!
• ‘Clip Size Mod for G-MAL’ — Increase the size of the bullet clip for your G-MAL long gun and spend more time shooting your opponents before having to reload. The G-MAL is one of my favourite weapons so more bullets will make it even more enjoyable to use.
• ‘Creepy Crawler Kickback’ — Turn into a swarm of deadly creatures for a limited time and overwhelm your enemies. Definitely one of my favourite kickbacks. Unusual but very satisfying.
• ‘Carpet Bomb Kickback’ — Send out three grenades with a single throw to blanket your opponent – or take out a group of opponents – with multiple explosions. Here’s a video for you. Enjoy the triple grenade damage!
• ‘Regeneration Booster’ — Boost your healing power to recover from your wounds more quickly. Extra energy is always welcome to survive multiplayer gunfights!

There is some pretty cool modifications to be had there, though we are sure the “Carpet Bomb Kickback” will prove very popular, especially if this video is anything to go by.

In addition to this, there will also be some exclusive downloadable content for those that buy the Special Edition of Uncharted 3, which comes in a very pretty case and will feature the following:

• Multiplayer skin and weapon: ‘London Drake and Pirate AK-47′:Customise the appearance of both your avatar and your weapon.
• Multiplayer ‘Upper Cut Taunt’: Allows you to give an upper-cut gesture for increased self-expression and bragging rights when playing online.
• ‘Cash Multiplier’: Earn in-game cash much faster when playing online.
• ‘Special Edition Decals Pack’: Decals to customise your avatar’s accessories.

The design of the Special Edition is not complete, but is said to resemble Drake’s journal and will also contain concept art work and sketches.

The Explorer Edition of Uncharted 3 will feature all of the fantastic goodies that fans will find in the Special Edition, but with the added extras of a beltbuckle, necklace and a Drake figurine. Pretty awesome if we do say so. Check out images of the content below.

Uncharted 3 is going to be one of the biggest titles at E3 this year, and we are sure to learn a whole lot more about the game in L.A. next week. Who’s excited?

Uncharted 3 is set to release November 1, 2011, exclusively for PlayStation 3.
