Through the many wonders of the Free App a Day promotion, gamers can now go back in time to 1990 and revisit classic Amiga brutal sports game Speedball 2, all for free with Speedball 2: Evolution on iOS. Tower Studios, the development team who worked on re-tooling the classic franchise from the Bitmap Brothers for play on Apple devices have stated that the game will only be available for free for a very short time – so snap it up while you still can. The game has already received a St. Patrick’s Day makeover in the past, but it now seems like there are more changes on the way.
Tower Studios boss Jon Hare – who was a founding member of Sensible Software, working on Cannon Fodder, Sensible Soccer and Mega Lo Mania – went on to say that “We have an awesome free new update due out soon and the more players we have before we release it, the better.” So those of you who own one of the compatible Apple devices should quickly login to iTunes and grab a slice of 1990’s gaming nostalgia.
