Kirby Returns As Nintendo Updates Virtual Console And eShop Titles
Nintendo and HAL Laboratories will unleash their lovable pink mascot on a new generation of gamers as the original Kirby title will see a re-release through the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Kirby’s Dream Land – first released in 1992 on the Gameboy – will be available to purchase for the equivalent of €4 (about £3.50). The classic platforming title was the first time players could take control of the titular character and make use of his floating and inhaling abilities, whilst locking horns with the nefarious King DeDeDe. This follows on from last week, when a Kirby TV channel was released on the Wii, where users can watch the Kirby Anime series – for free – with 50 episodes to eventually be available.
The full eShop lineup this week is:
Kirby’s Dream Land – 3DS Virtual Console – €4
A Fairy Tale – 3DS/DSi Ware – €2/200 DSi Points
Successfully Learning German: Year 3 – 3DS/DSi Ware/WiiWare – €5, 500 DSi Points, 500 Wii Points

The titles included in this update will be available from June 30th.
