Announcement Of New Game In Mario Party Series At E3
In a move that was somewhat unexpected, another popular Nintendo series is making its return. Little is known about the game so far, but Nintendo have shown off a new trailer and screenshots for the forthcoming twelfth installment in the Mario Party series (counting Mario Party Advance, Mario Party-e, and Mario Party DS) – Mario Party 9, for the Nintendo Wii.It is likely that the game will be developed by Hudson Soft, who have worked on past Mario Party games, and it is expected that this new title will rely more heavily on gesture-based minigames than the previous Wii version, to make the most of the MotionPlus which was released in the intervening years.
Characters who have been confirmed to appear in the game so far are:

- Luigi
- Princess Peach
- Princess Daisy
- Yoshi
- Toad
- Wario
- Waluigi
- Koopa Troopa
- Shy Guy
- Bowser Jr.

Mario Party 9 has no set release date, but will be available exclusively for Nintendo Wii.
