Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Multiplayer Beta To Begin June 28
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is set for a big reveal at E3, but in the meantime we have some news regarding the multiplayer beta for the next title from Naughty Dog. The multiplayer beta will run from June 28 for those who get early access, according to IGN. This can be done by being a PlayStation Plus subscriber, or by using a voucher found in copies of inFamous 2.
The beta will be fully public from July 4 and run for a relatively short amount of time, up to July 13 for all players. In the beta for Uncharted 3, players will be capped to level 25, as opposed to the beta for Uncharted 2, in which there was no level cap. The beta maps will feature the new “Power Plays” that will be shaking up multiplayer a little.
Two maps will feature in the beta, one set in an Airfield and one in a French Chateau. Both of the maps will be multi-level and feature dynamic events like attacking planes, similar to the events that take place throughout some Uncharted 2 multiplayer maps.
A total of nine multiplayer modes will be included in the beta, including the standard 5v5 Team Deathmatch, 3-Team Deathmatch and Team Objective, as well as another old favourite, Plunder.
More returning features include Boosters, of which there will be eight, and characters such as Sully and Drake are set to appear for some multiplayer goodness.
For any Uncharted fans, this beta is sure to be a must. I am a massive fan of the Uncharted 2 multiplayer and am sure to spend a great deal of time playing through the Uncharted 3 beta, which begins on June 28 for those who gain early entry.
