Go Behind The Scenes With Michael Phelps
505 Games have today released a number of still images taken during the making of Michael Phelps: Push the Limit in advance of the game’s June launch.
Swimming without ever getting wet? That’s the dream right?
Motion capture and in-game modeling images from behind the scenes show Phelps playing the game for the first time and the animators capturing his likeness for in-game rendering. In addition, a number of screenshots and renders are also included in this latest bundle of assets.
“I’m really excited to help bring a one-of-a-kind swimming video game to the market that is reflective of my competitive nature and passion for swimming,” commented Michael Phelps. “This definitely isn’t your typical video game.”

“It is an honour for everyone here at 505 to work with Michael Phelps, a truly transcendent athlete who has brought unprecedented glory to competitive swimming,” said Ian Howe, President of 505 Games. “His guidance and feedback have proven invaluable to the development process, and in-game he will mentor players on their journey from an unknown challenger to a powerful swimmer capable of beating the best in the world.”
Michael Phelps: Push the Limit is being developed by Blitz Games and published by 505 Games and is scheduled for release in June 2011 exclusively for the Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect.
