Dead Rising 2 DLC 50% Off On Xbox LIVE This Week

Microsoft and Capcom are offering Xbox LIVE Gold members exclusive 50% discounts on all currently available Dead Rising 2 DLC. This covers the two standalone chapters; Case Zero – a short prologue to the main game, and Case West – an epilogue which features Frank West, the hero from the first Dead Rising game. Case Zero will see its price drop from the already-cheap 400 Microsoft Points, to the bargain price of 200 points, whereas Case West will drop from 800, down to 400. The two Skill Packs; Psycho and Soldier are also reduced for this Xbox LIVE deal of the week, down from 160 MS Points, to only 80 points each.

Dead Rising: Case Zero – 200 MS Points

Get a taste of what Dead Rising 2 has to offer in this full-featured prologue! Chuck Greene and his daughter Katey have barely escaped the Las Vegas zombie outbreak with their lives. They arrive in the lonely desert town of Still Creek looking for some rest, but unfortunately there is no rest to be had as this sleepy town has become overrun with zombies. Chuck must kill zombies, rescue survivors and escape from the zombie nightmare that is Still Creek before time runs out. Any PP, clothing, and Combo Cards gained in CASE ZERO will carry over into your Dead Rising 2 game!

Dead Rising: Case West – 400 MS Points

Frank West and Chuck Greene fight side by side in this explosive addition to Dead Rising 2! Chuck Greene has lost the evidence that would have cleared his name. In his darkest hour Frank West appears and offers one last chance for Chuck to redeem himself. Together, the pair heads to a secret Zombrex research facility where they hope to uncover evidence that will exonerate Chuck, and shed some light on Phenotrans’ sinister plot. Case West re-introduces the ability to take pictures in-game. Two players can also play together as Chuck and Frank in the full-featured co-op mode!

Dead Rising 2 Skills Pack – Soldier – 80 MS Points

Chuck becomes a battle-hardened soldier when he wears this costume. Mowing down zombies in a hail of bullets has never been more fun! These clothes give Chuck special abilities such as improved battle effectiveness when using firearms. Chuck also gains new attacks when using assault rifles. This pack is just what you need when you want to go on a bullet-fueled zombie killing spree!

Dead Rising 2 Skills Pack – Psycho – 80 MS Points

Wearing this special costume gives Chuck all the shockingly disturbing abilites of a deranged homicidal psychopath! Actually, that’s quite handy if you’re surrounded by a horde of zombies. Some of the special abilites Chuck’s costume-enhanced psyche affords him include better resistance to damage due to his deranged state, stronger attacks with some classic killing implements such as the chef knife and chainsaw, as well as truly sick new attacks for weapons loved by murderous maniacs everywhere, including the machete, mining pick and meat cleaver!

So get ready to return to Fortune City and experience all Dead Rising 2 has to offer, for only half the original price.

These offers are valid only for Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers, between April 26th and May 2nd. When we reviewed the full game back in September of last year, we weren’t overly impressed. However we did praise Dead Rising: Case Zero as a great, affordable way to get a taste for the series – and marked it as a step forward for enhanced game demos.
