Back To The Future To Get Pre-Christmas Release
We’ve got to go back…Back to the Future. And on December 22nd, gamers around the world will get their first taste of the much-anticipated film spin-off episodic games series. That is the date that the first episode will be unleashed on PC and Mac OS X. PlayStation 3 and iPad versions are due to follow soon after, but have yet to receive a specific date.
The series will be set six months after the events of Back To The Future: Part III, when the original Time Machine was destroyed, and it will see Marty reunited with Doc Brown (voiced by actor Christopher Lloyd), who has been imprisoned during a trip to the past.
Telltale Games have also announced that players buying the full series  on the official Telltale store will be given a free Collector’s Edition DVD in mid-2011, which includes all five episodes – as is their custom with all of their episodic games. In addition to that, all pre-orders of the game taken through the Telltale website will receive a free copy of Puzzle Agent and the company will donate one dollar to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
The first episode, entitled “It’s about time” will be released for Pc and Mac OS X on December 22nd. Further episodes will follow monthly from February. PlayStation 3 and iPad release dates are expected to be announced soon.
