Cut The Rope Sells 3 Million Copies, New Content On The Way

Chillingo, the company behind the devishly addictive and highly enjoyable iPhone game, Cut the Rope, have today announced that the game has now sold more than three million copies across the globe via the Apple App Store. In addition to that, the good folks at Chillingo have also revealed that Cut the Rope will receiving a free update. No exact date has been given for the download that will upgrade the game to version 1.1 (apart from “very soon”), but fans will be glad to hear that the content will include a brand new box. Yay!

The upcoming Cut the Rope 1.1 update will introduce Om Nom fans to an exciting new “Cosmic Box’ that contains 25 challenging levels. This spaceship-themed box introduces the lovable green monster to a unique anti-gravity feature that turns physics upside down as Om Nom peers through the box’s portholes to see a planet rotating in the distance. The popular game will also bring enhanced retina display graphics, improved scoring accuracy, more expressive Om Nom animations, new musical sounds plus 11 new achievements.
