It isn’t long now until the new stealth-em-up from Ubisoft hits store shelves, but in a piece of news which seemed to slip past us previously, the developers have revealed another additional playable character for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, however this time it isn’t another Italian citizen – the new character is making a cameo from another much-loved gaming series.
As shown in the image below, a star of another successful series of stealth games will be joining in the fun with Ezio and company.
That’s right, Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series will be playable as an alternate costume for Ezio – in the same way that previous protagonist, Altair, has been in past instalments of the game. His acrobatic skills and use of a blade should see him fit in well, but his futuristic cyborg-suit might stick out a bit in Renaissance Italy. Maybe.
Assassins Creed: Brotherhood will be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 16 in North America andNovember 19 in Europe. A PC release will follow in February 2011. Raiden is also due to star in Metal Gear Solid: Rising, which is yet to have a firm release date.
If I'm not playing on a good Adventure Game - still longing for the long-past Golden Age of the genre, when Lucasarts and Sierra ruled supreme - you might find me searching for a local arcade, in the hopes that it still houses titles such as Sunset Riders or WindJammers.
