Croteam Releases Serious Editor 3 Beta Level Creation Tool

Hordes of Serious Sam fans and would-be level designers around the world can now have a hand in the creation of Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter’s chaotic battlefields with the release of Serious Editor 3 Beta via a free update on Steam. Serious Sam fans can use the Serious Editor 3 Beta to build single player, co-op and multiplayer maps for Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter and share them with other PC gamers around the globe. Aspiring game designers can also create their own objects and structures for placement in their custom environments to give each creation their own signature mark.

“Both Serious Sam fans and those nasty forum trolls always tell us that anyone could make a better campaign level or multiplayer map than us,” said an anonymous level designer at Croteam.

“Well prove it, ladies. Knock yourselves out.”

Consider the challenge extended. Who among you is brave enough to answer the call then? Croteam and Devolver Digital will be monitoring the greatest designs on Steam and the best of the best will be rewarded with “exquisite gifts and lavished with praise”. Sound interesting doesn’t it?
