Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock – New Guitar Design

ny axes can you carry? Activision have unveiled another new redesign of their Guitar Hero peripheral. Dropping the added control of the touch-sensitive slide bar from the World Tour guitar design, the new instrument favours customisation in the form of interchangeable bodies.
The new design has integrated all of the electrical and mechanical elements of the controller into the neck and fret bar, allowing the body of the guitar to be removed and replaced easily. The interchangeable bases are clipped on either side of the fret bar like wings. The guitar will be bundled with the game and one body, whereas alternates will be released as pre-order incentives and add-ons.
Fret not though (pun definitely intended), your old peripherals will be completely backwards compatible, as no new gameplay features have been added to the instrument this time around.
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii this autumn.
