God is a Geek Podcast Episode 12
The GodisaGeek podcast is back with episode 12! Some of us have been really busy lately with university and work, but we are back and hyped to bring you some of the latest gaming news.
Topics of discussion include:
– Gears of War 3 has been officially announced with this trailer, the team highlight some of the new features found in the next Gears and speculate about possible additions to the multiplayer.
– Call of Duty: Black Ops has also been announced, this trailer gives little away in real time but does elude to features including a possible Vietnam time zone. It’s Treyarch’s turn to push the Call of Duty series on and it’s a good thing too with Infinity Ward suffering some recent staff departures.
– The Halo Reach beta is alive and kicking for those who own Halo: ODST; Asim and myself discuss the beta and give our first look opinion.
– Splinter Cell: Conviction is a hot topic amongst the team with differing views, remember to check out the review here.

My gaming upbringing was a mixture of NES, SNES and Megadrive before my brother decided to convert to the church of PlayStation.
Nowadays I have my own cash and own all of the major consoles and a top of the range gaming PC. Dropping a grand to upgrade my PC is not a huge decision, it's a requirement! If you can't find me on the PS3 or 360 then I am probably on my PC playing the latest MMO, RTS or FPS.
