Spec Ops: The Line Debut Trailer

Modern Warfare seems to be all the rage in gaming as of late. As you may well know, the Medal of Honor series has recently jumped ship and set their latest title in a modern world following the phenomenal success of Modern Warfare (1 and 2). Earlier today we found out that Take- Two Interactive would be bring back their Spec Ops Franchise back from the dead. For those of you who can’t remember Spec Ops was a collection of  3rd person shooter games released on the PS1. The latest in the franchise will see you taking the fight to the city of Dubai and dealing with the “corruption” that awaits you there.

Now as far as the trailer goes the game actually looks quite gorgeous despite the fact that the trailer has been overrun by every shade of brown known to man but the game does take place in a desert after all. Watching a sea of sand ‘swallow’ up the surrounding area as the main protagonist strolls through the area was one of the better looking scenes in this trailer (Hey, any game that can make sand look pretty deserves a compliment in my book) but as we all know graphics without gameplay rarely bodes well for a release. Hopefully there will be some substance to be found under all that sand.
