Gay Tony is coming for you!
Just moments ago Rockstar Games have announced the new DLC for the smash hit Grand Theft Auto IV. It is titled, The Ballad of Gay Tony. This fantastically titled new epsiode will see gamers playing as Luis Lopez, a part-time hooldum and assistant to legendary nightclub impressario Tony Prince (aka Gay Tony). Throughout the course game Luis will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.
Not just satisfied with announcing new DLC, Rockstar also have revealed that they will be releasing The Ballad of Gay Tony and, the previously released DLC, The Lost and Damned on disc for the Xbox 360 this Autumn. The disc will be called Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City and will retail at $39.99 in North America (no price for Europe yet, maybe £30?!). Strangely enough though unlike the downloadable versions of each episode, the disc-based episodes will not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.
I get the feeling some gamers out there will not be happy about that decision. Many people kept their original copies of Grand Theft Auto IV after completion just so they could play the DLC so this emerging news won’t make them happy as the trade-in/selling price for the game is now very low. Interesting decision from Rockstar to say the least.
Both the DLC and disc based content for The Ballad of Gay Tony is due out this Autumn exclusively for the Xbox 360.
