The offline qualifiers for ESL One Katowice took place over the weekend, which means that we now know the 16 teams who will be fighting it out for $250,000 in March.
Prior to the qualifiers we knew that Team EnVyUs, Ninjas in Pyjamas, HellRaisers, Natus Vincere, Fnatic, Penta Sports, Team Solomid and Virtus.pro would already be at the event due to them being invited as the ‘Legends’ set of teams.
That left eight spots up for grabs in this weekend’s qualifiers. Group A saw Counter Logic Gaming, LGB eSports, FlipSid3 Tactics and Titan make it to the main event while Cloud9, VOX EMINOR, KaBuM and 3DMAX made it through Group B.
Somewhat surprisingly KaBuM managed to dispatch Team Dignitas on route to qualification while 3DMAX beat popular organisation Mousesports.
The ESL One Katowice CS:GO tournament will take place from March 12 and will run until March 15 at the ESL Expo.
