ESL Bringing Dota 2 Back to Frankfurt

ESL One Frankfurt 2014 was perhaps one of the best events of the year, and that’s coming from someone who didn’t event attend the event in person. As the last event was such as success the ESL have decided to once again bring Dota 2 to Frankfurt’s 2006 World Cup football stadium.

The ESL One Frankfurt 2015 Dota 2 tournament will take place on June 20th and June 21st in the Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt, Germany. Eight of the worlds best Dota teams will compete for a prize pool of at least $150,000, although thanks to the upcoming in game ticket that number will likely be considerably higher.

As with last years event two teams will be invited, with the remaining 6 fighting through the qualifiers to book their tickets to Germany. No exact details on the qualifiers have been announced, but you can expect them reasonably soon.

Tickets for the event will go on sale Monday, more information is available on the ESL website.
