After teasing it very recently, Telltale Games has made everyone very happy by finally releasing some information on Season Two of The Walking Dead.
They just released a short teaser trailer in which you can hear season one’s protagonist, Lee Everett, speaking with the young girl that stole the hearts of millions, Clementine. After a shot of innocent Clem, viewers see what appears to be a more aware and slightly older Clementine who appears to be fending for herself in the zombie apocalypse.
Players will be assuming the role of the young girl and no doubt facing off against the walkers, befriending some of mankind and also making enemies of more despicable men and women within the state of Georgia.
Season Two will begin later this year and will finish its five episode run in 2014. The game will be available on PC, Mac, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, iOS and “additional platforms”. You can currently pre-order the game on Steam at a discounted price of $22.49.
On top of that, Telltale also annnounced the long-rumoured Game of the Year edition of Season One which features all five episodes of Lee and Clem’s story, along with the 400 Days DLC. Available on PS3, 360 and PC, the GOTY edition will cost $29.99 at retail.
Even though bringing Clementine back is something that many will be happy with, I can’t help but feel like I’d enjoy a whole new take on the zombie apocalypse. New characters with different aspirations and motivations sounds more interesting to me. I’m still intrigued to see how Clementine is faring on her own, but I’d certainly love to see a more guttsy and confident young girl, this time around.
