Battle Worlds: Kronos started out as a labour of love from German developer King Art Games – the guys behind The Book of Unwritten Tales – but, as is often the case with Indie developers, they simply couldn’t get the funding to put the game into full production.
However, all that changed when people started realising the value of services such as Kickstarter and, at a later date, Steam Greenlight. Suddenly, games that otherwise wouldn’t have seen the light of day were getting made, getting released and getting played. The dream of every developer that ever wrote a single line of code.
Now, I’m the first to admit that I’m not very good at Strategy games, but after the support from the Kickstarter community, I decided I should dive in to the scary world of Kronos and give the game a go.
Needless to say, things went pear-shaped pretty rapidly…
