Nvidia’s Android powered system will be available at online and brick and mortar retailers some time in June. Along with Nvidia themselves, a post on the Nvidia blog confirmed some of the North American retailers that will be stocking the console include: Newegg, Gamestop, Micro Center and Canada Computers.
At a suggested retail price of $349, anyone who’s really keen to pick up a Shield can pre-order one from May 20. Anybody who signed up for the Project Shield newsletter can pre-order the system from today.
Nvidia Shield will come with two free games: Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 and Expendable: Rearmed. If those don’t tickle your fancy, Nvidia has announced five additional games that will be coming to the handheld: Costume Quest and Broken Age from Double Fine, Flyhunter: Origins from Steel Wool Games, Chuck’s Challenge from Niffler and Dedalord Games’ Skiing Fred. Of course, there will also be a number of Google Play games that will also be available on the Shield, too.
