Microsoft to Replace Points Based System with Real Currency Value
According to The Verge, Microsoft will be moving away from their points based credit system with the next generation Xbox.
Sources close to the website have told them that Microsoft Points will be replaced with gift cards similar to iTunes, or PSN. As well as that, debit and credit cards will also be supported which seems plausible seeing as this rumour has been doing the rounds for quite some time now.Apparently, this new system of using real currency will work across all of Microsoft’s online marketplaces.
There has been some negative reaction to many of the rumours surrounding the Durango, but I think we can all agree that getting rid of silly points system would be a plus for everyone.
