David Cage’s vision of a more emotional video game may be a debate topic for the masses, but at least Quantic Dream’s upcoming project has people talking.
The developer recently showcased the game to a number of publications at a recent event in Paris where some knowledge bombs were dropped – which we’ve learned through CVG.
Firstly, according to Cage himself, “there will be no more QTEs in this game.” From a few videos that have surfaced online, it seems like that claim could be debunked pretty easily, but we’ll hold judgement on that. Also, VG247 have been told that the game will take somewhere between 12-15 hours to complete, depending on player choices. Longer than their previous efforts, it will be interesting to see if Beyond can hold the attention of the player as long as Heavy Rain did.
Below, you can see some screenshots of the game which have been released today. The fact that the game is completely mo-capped by the actors is even evident to the uninformed when looking at these spectacular images. Beyond: Two Souls is really shaping up to be something that will be memorable, at the very least.
