The game that blew everyone away at E3 was Ubisoft’s glorious looking Watch Dogs. The game came out of nowhere and looked sublime as the player was able to manipulate a variety of electronic devices to attain their goal.
It’s been known for a while now that the game would be coming in 2013 to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and today, we can pinpoint that date even further. Kotaku received some leaked marketing posters that tout a Holiday 2013 release date. Even more interesting is the vague header on the top of the poster;
“AVAILABLE ON ALL HOME CONSOLES”
Also spotted by Kotaku is a quote on the back of the poster from G4TV which states, “a truly next-gen adventure”. It would seem strange to include that quote if your game WASN’T next-gen, therefore adding more fuel to the already blazing PS4 and Xbox 720 respective flames.
The “all home consoles” when taken literally could mean that Watch Dogs is going to be one of the titles that will cross generations. Also, a Wii U version hadn’t been confirmed, so hopefully we’ll see this on Nintendo hardware, too.
