Activision have announced a third console game in the massively popular (in my household, anyway) Skylanders series: Swap Force.
Over 19 million characters have been sold across Europe since the first game – Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure – came out, and the series overall is the third largest video game franchise (as of 2012), just behind FIFA and Call of Duty. So yeah, those plastic toys are big business.
Coming to Nintendo’s Wii and Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC, Swap Force will have a new graphics engine, complete support for previous characters and…oh God…you can mix and match parts of the new ones to create all-new heroes. In fact, the pictures we have show this in more detail, so take a look at the gallery below.
Your move, Disney Infinity…

Skylanders: Swap Force will be release in 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, Wii U and Windows PC.
