When there was a sniff of a new Pocket Monsters game earlier this year, many were hoping it would appear on Nintendo’s home console. Obviously, that was not the case as Pokemon X and Y were announced for the 3DS.
However, as reported by Gematsu (via Serbii.net), a Pokemon game is indeed coming to Wii U in the form of the download only Pokemon Rumble U.
The game will feature all 649 – yes, there are 649 – Pokemon and will support up to 4 players in multiplayer. Just as Assassin’s Creed III was touting, Pokemon Rumble U will also have massive brawls, where a total of 100 monsters can be on-screen, simultaneously.
It’s scheduled to release in Spring via the Japanese eShop, with no word on a worldwide release, as of yet. As soon as we hear anything more on Pokemon Rumble U, you’ll be the first to know.
