Codemasters Secure “Multi-Year” F1 Deal
With the new Formula One season just around the corner gamers will be delighted to know that Codemasters have extended their deal as the official developers for the F1 championship.
Fans had been left apprehensive with Codemasters current deal ending after the 2012 season but now with the announcement of a new “multi-year” agreement and the promise of taking the series to new geographies, new platforms and new audiences it seems there is plenty to look forward to in the coming years. Already confirmed for 2012 fans can expect a new entry in the main series (presumably F1 2012), a free to play online management game and something aimed at younger fans.
Whatever the future holds Formula One is in good hands with the award winning team at Codemasters. The creators of the massively successful Race Driver and DiRT franchises have received a lot of praise for their first two F1 games and I see no reason why they won’t continue to deliver in 2012 and now, beyond.
