Gears of War 3 Officially Revealed

Just hours ago on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show Mr Cliff Bleszinski himself finally showed off the first footage from the hugely anticipated Gears of War 3 and it looks absolutely fantastic. The trailer (called Ashes to Ashes) not only confirms earlier reports of a new enemy with tentacles, it also reveals other interesting bits of information. For instance, we now know that Anya will be taking to the battlefield, players will have access to double-barrelled shotguns and Dom will sporting a rather bushy beard!

Shortly after the trailer was unveiled Cliff Bleszinski confirmed that Gears of War 3 will have four player co-op play integrated in to the campaign mode, news which is sure to delight gamers across the world. To add to that, Microsoft also announced the official release dates for the game across all regions. Gears of War 3 will be released on April 5th 2011 in North America and Asia, April 7th 2011 in Japan, and April 8th 2011 in Europe and the rest of the world. The game might be a year or so away from release but it just feels right to say…..the hype has well and truly begun.
